I am excited to be a part of this team! As a Fayetteville native who grew up as military child in Germany as well as Ft. Bragg,  I have had many roles related to the military community. After graduating from NC State, I was commissioned in the Air Force and taught in the Air Force Academy before retiring.  I’m a military spouse who has seen his airman deploy to serve in Afghanistan. I’m also the father of two students who experienced the unpredictability of the military life.  As a JROTC instructor for Cumberland County Schools, I have worked with many military children and parents over the years. With over 20 years in education, it is my hope to use my experiences to help even more families as a Military Student Transition Consultant (MSTC).

I am thrilled to be a part of the Military Student Transition Consultant Team. I am from Fayetteville North Carolina and a Air Force/Army veteran.  I returned to the military after a fourteen-year break.  In 2015 I retired in the Fort Bragg area from the Army.  I had the opportunity to provide comfort and compassion in my most recent role as a Casualty Assistant at the Soldier Support Center on Fort Bragg.

I earned a B.A. in Business Management from DeVry University and a Masters in Human Resource Management from Keller University.   I also completed the Master Resilience Training course from the University of Pennsylvania.  I chose to become a Military Student Transition Consultant because I wished I had this assistance when I was the military child. I have served as the military child, the service member and now a military parent. I cherish the opportunity to work with families and helping them achieve their goals every chance I get.

Greetings! It is an honor to serve as a Military Student Transition Consultant and become a part of a dynamic MTSC team. I have lived in the Fayetteville area for well over 40 years. After seasons of traveling, moving and relocating as a military dependent, my family moved at Fort Bragg and we eventually transitioned to Fayetteville.  I attended schools on Fort Bragg and graduated from one of the Fayetteville City High Schools designated for military dependents. I have served as an educator in the Cumberland County School System for years in several capacities such as a special educator, coach, parent liaison, ID Moderate and ID Severe program specialist and administrator.  These experiences have afforded me the opportunity to wear many hats in collaborating, advocating and working the military connected students, their parents, and the community.

I graduated from East Carolina University, earning a B.S. in Special Education and Fayetteville State University, earning a Master of Arts in Education (Exceptional Children), and certification in Administration/Supervision.   I chose the educational field because of a love young people, a desire nurture them to reach their goals, and passion to mentor them to become productive citizens.  I am excited about this opportunity to use my experiences to reconnect and serve young people, their parents and the community.

Greetings, I am originally from Jacksonville Florida and came to Fayetteville North Carolina by way of the military. I have been in the Fayetteville/ Fort Bragg area for over 20 years. During my time in the Army I had the opportunity to serve not only at Fort Bragg but also in South Korea and Germany. I have also served in multiple deployments. After my tour of duties, I retired from the United States Army.

I have had the opportunity to serve the Fayetteville Community during and after my time in the military. I was able to serve the community as a coach, mentor, and educator. I also attended college with in this community at Fayetteville State University. During this time, I was able to obtain my Bachelors of Business Administration and a Masters in Social Work / Child and Family. I look forward to serving the children and parents of this great community once again.
